if you've been wondering what the pubteam's been up to, don't.
'cause we're not going to tell you..YET.
hahaha okay lah.
i relent.
here's a secret update on what exactly the pubteam has been doing:
- racking their brains for their next publicity stunt at breakout saturday
- t-shirt printing stuff
- camp file!!!!!!!!!! :O
- working hard to pay of exorbitant electricity bills stemming from their unrequited love for their laptops :D
- something else. (我知道，他们知道。我不说，他们不说，你到 OVERFLOW 时才会知道! - i.e. we know what we're doing but we're not going to tell you yet. maybe if you come to OVERFLOW we'll let you in on the secret.)
so, are you coming??
the list of things to do really goes on. yet again, it boils down to one question.
WHAT DRIVES US to do all these things?i think here at the pubteam and the camp comm we have realized that it's not what we receive from these things we do that matters. it's not for the fame, not for the money (none though), and it's not for the sake of our faces either. we do it all for God. this God we serve is living, loving and lasting. we can talk with Him wherever, whenever, however. His love is deeper than the deepest oceans, wider than the seas. He was here since forever began, and will be here, well, forever.
at some point in history, the world became so filled with evil that God was sad. the people on earth were not obeying Him anymore. He was a fair God, so He had to judge them at the end. but God really loved Mankind. so He decided to send someone else He dearly loved to bear His judgement for the world.
so now, because of His love and our belief, we're saved from God's anger on that last Judgement Day. but hey! we're not superheroes. we didn't make a salvation for ourselves! someone else went and helped us take the blame. this special someone took all of God's punishment upon himself, although HE WAS ENTIRELY PERFECT.
how can someone be perfect?!?!?!
well you see, HE was God's SON.
'For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that all who believe in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. - John 3:16'
and you know what's the best part? God loves YOU too. it doesn't matter where you come from, it doesn't matter what kind of status you have in the world today. as long as you are able to acknowledge Him as YOUR God, realize that you have done wrong and seek His forgiveness, He will take you to be a part of his family.
see, isn't it awesome?
we were so undeserving of His grace, yet He still gave it to us.
we didn't acknowledge His presence in our lives, but He was always right there, waiting for us to invite Him in.
eternal life will be our prize, after we have run our races on earth with Christ.
it is not going to be easy, as we will face all sorts of suffering.
it is not saying yes and leaving it at that. it is saying yes, then using your life to show it.
He came, that YOU may have life, and have it abundantly.
He wants to come into YOUR life, and take you into His family.
at the end of the day it's not whether you come for OVERFLOW.
it's not whether you say yes to our invitation, but it's whether you say yes to Christ.
will you open your heart?
will you let this Jesus into your life?
